Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Yates Avenue Public School!
I am delighted to welcome you to our vibrant school community, located on Darug land in Dundas Valley. At Yates Avenue, our motto is “Only the Best,” reflecting our vision to deliver evidence-based learning and wellbeing practices within an inclusive school culture.
Our teaching model employs Explicit Instruction with daily reviews for retaining taught information and the ‘I Do, We Do, You Do’ protocol for learning new content. This ensures that our teaching aligns with research on how students learn best. We cater for the diverse needs of all students across mainstream K–6 classes, the support unit, preschool and early intervention programs.
We’re proud of our dedicated staff and strong partnerships with families. Together, we ensure students feel valued and inspired to learn.
I invite you to explore our website to discover what makes our school special. We look forward to welcoming you into our community.
